Adequate river network
The rivers in the North provide extensive water supply for the continuation of the ecological network
Residential area
The villages are scattered along the main roads and main river courses. There are mainly two village settlements, which are located at the intersection of rivers and roads
Windmill town
As a major agricultural production area, Cedrus had built a large number of windmills in the middle of the colonial period. So far, a large number of windmills have been abandoned and out of operation, and a few have been used as scenic landmarks.
Simulate the impact and blending of the natural landscape and cultural landscape on a time scale.
The abstract simulation of the natural and cultural elements of the site with colour and free form to the actual landscape provides an attempt direction for the design process.
How can I realise the integration and transition between culture and nature?
The expanded tourist centre is based on the original characteristic horse riding hotel. The main adjustment is to restore the original grinding function of the windmill, multi-layers platforms and orchards. The tourist centre meets catering, entertainment, display, picking, accommodation and other tourism activities
The section shows the detailed design of the hard and soft materials used in the Expanded platform. When the coloured and personalized hand-painted plants are integrated with the black-and-white and accurate hard paving line draft on the same section, the collection of data and display is achieved. The sharp contrast between pavement and plants in colour and form even strengthens the materials and relationships.
The radial residential activity square centred on the built windmill provides residents with spaces such as markets, exhibitions, conversations, festival celebrations and catering.
The section shows the scene when the market is used for festival celebrations. Residents hang the celebration flag on a thin line connecting windmills and wooden cabin.
Expectations of the site can affect what happens there. So seeing through a site is a necessity(Lippard, 2004).
The natural and cultural landscapes of the island are closely linked, and continuity and connectivity are one of the essences of landscape representation.
I travel in an unfamiliar land, stop and observe during the journey, find interests in life
Then I fell in love with painting, I use the brush to record my perception
The perception of landscape that I dreamed of...
