The project delves into modern ruins - King George V Dock, demystifying the industrial history and narratives of the working class behind the site, and aims to evoke memory and imagination using spatial strategies. Time was rigid in the era of industrial activities and is still rigid for today's workers. The project attempts to create a counter time to fight against the rigidity of time and also a revolt against the contemporary, thereby bringing a sense of peace and calm. It is also based on theories related to plant advocacy, stewardship and Materiality. It aims to create an urban place with strong connections to the surrounding districts, the city centre and non-human communities, which will attract both local and foreign visitors in the future, providing a rich and varied event space while preserving the shipping function to encourage people to participate and thus enhance their interaction with the ruins.
