GOVAN DOCKS

" To reach the sky with trees, which is the desire of the earth." 

Today, there is an ambivalent attitude to the river as it flows through the reaches once occupied by those docks and shipyards. While much riparian redevelopment has taken place, vestiges of the river's former industrial heritage remain, most notably the derelict but nationally unique Govan graving docks, so it has enough potential to be a heritage park. Regardless of the outcome of this particular issue, the integration of the river into the lives of those wildlife who live on its banks remains markedly.

In this context, how to maintain the relationship between bank& river, soil& Infiltration, history& rebirth is the main direction of my design, and these ideas are put in this attractive place - Govan dock.
