Bio

In my undergraduate degree in Quantity Surveying and Commercial Management at the University of South Wales, I developed an interest in sustainability and building conservation. I have been able to continue to develop this professional interest during my studies here at the University of Edinburgh. In addition, I have become passionate about folk studies and making conservation practices more community driven and determined.

Individual Projects

History and Theory of Conservation:

In this module, I examined the conservation principles and cultural influences of St. Fagans Welsh Folk Museum and its founder Iorwerth C. Peate.

Dissertation:

In my paper titled 'If These Walls Could Talk', I explored the use of oral histories in architectural conservation methodology and undertook an oral history case study on Penuel Calvinistic Methodist Chapel, Ferndale.
