I aspire to make history accessible to everyone. I believe an understanding of where we came from will help us discover where we can go.
My Dissertation explored the history and conservation of the Carnegie Building in Lawrence, Kansas. The building is one of 2,509 libraries funded by Scottish-American industrialist Andrew Carnegie. My research was in tandem with the 2022 Sally Kress Tompkins Fellowship from the United States National Parks Service Historic American Building Survey (HABS) and the Society of Architectural Historians (SAH).
Through AC1 Urban Conservation, I worked within a team to explore the history, heritage impact, and accessibility of St Andrew Square in Edinburgh's New Town. This study produced a report and five illustrated panels below.
