Societal and interpersonal interactions have altered in daily life, through social distancing and the wearing of face masks due to the global pandemic. This has changed how we observe and are aware of others as we move through shared spaces. Using intricate mark-making, heat-sensitive photography, and observational illustrations, I have translated my personal interpretation of this social shift through the medium of textiles.
The resulting hand-painted fashion collection is intended to capture the zeitgeist of the current Human Landscape through a personal, visual lens and with a desire to bring the essence of the recent period back to the body through material, colour, line, surface, and volume.
