Bio

My practice takes place between the environments of the school setting, in my role as an educator, and the art studio, in my role as a student. I am intrigued by the relationship between art and play within these settings and their links to Cultural Capital.

My work consists mainly of altered found objects and non-art materials. I am instinctively drawn to mediums which are natural and reusable. I particularly embrace working with animal by-products such as bone and gelatine as they prompt discussion and creativity with respect to cross species hierarchies. The result of this is work which hovers between science and folklore.
