Colour mapping is a project based in Edinburgh, a city where I have a year of studying abroad. I was inspired by abstract art, especially the works of Sonia Delaunay, Wassily Kandinsky, Paul Klee and Bridget Riley. Using colour perception as a starting point, I create colour and light illustrations to record and express my feelings about different places. In colour mapping, I aim to record some romantic moments l experienced in different places in Edinburgh with my observed colours in nature, which have left a deep impression on me In this project, I also hope to place our sense of place and of being present under loving scrutiny.
