I am a very dependent person on my mobile phone. I enjoy the convenience that the data age has brought me. However, problems and convenience always come hand in hand.
The project was inspired by my daily life.
1. Every day at 9:45am, DiDi (China's Uber) will mark my address and destination. I think this is excessive.
2. I don't know who I've offended recently, but scam calls are coming in one after another, telling me that I need to confirm my identity on a loan platform, and then saying that there's a problem with my last online purchase.
3. The most paradoxical thing is that these scammers know everything about my life. I had opened an account a few years ago that I had forgotten about myself, and they actually helped me pick up this lost fragment of memory.
After a few more experiences, I had to think, who was selling my information? Was it a takeaway platform? Was it a job search site? Or which shopping site?
The main questions to consider for the project.
What is a data breach?
Where is the data leaked to?
What does a data breach look like?
and finally, my own attitude.
As a graphic design student, I wanted to look at this issue from a different perspective and represent 'data leakage' in a graphic visual way.
