Bio

Yennie is an illustrator based in Edinburgh and London from Hong Kong, graduated from the University of Edinburgh, School of Design (Illustration). She loves working with both digital and traditional art-making tools.

With the mixed cultural background and her fascination with traditional Chinese cultures and heritage like Chinese ink paintings, Gong-bi Hua, Chinese propaganda posters and Dunhuang murals, Yennie aims to share her perspectives and tell stories using flowing lines, vibrant colours with urbanised textures & intricate details. Her particular interest and dedication to the conservation of Chinese Intangible Heritage (ICH) arts and crafts have allowed such elements to be seen in her works.

Yennie enjoys making illustrations for magazines, newspapers & social media (editorial), advertising & packaging, books & publishing, merchandise & crafts. She is detail-oriented and is great with deadlines.
