Project description

Traditionally, human activity is a major cause of the destruction of nature and bird habitats. At the same time, human is main workers for the restoration of forests and the maintenance of habitats in the conservation of nature. But to achieve a balance between the two is not just a matter of one party taking from the other. Nature is also one of the driving forces behind the development of human society, while humans work for nature. The framework shows how the various components of the industry support each other in Fazenda De Santa Cruz, trying to reduce the negative impact of each on the other, thus creating a positive cycle.

The basic information about the site was used to explore the design possibilities. For example, i can plan tourist routes through traffic information and to create more possibilities for the site through knowledge of the history and culture.
SITE ANALYSIS
Each site has been chosen for its own purpose, partly for birdlife and partly for human activity. The four sites can be developed over time in several steps to achieve these uses.
WHY CHOOSE THE SITE
Strategy

Sites are constantly evolving, and the landscapes are also constantly changing and evolving. Existing sites are subject to several irrational or wasteful uses of resources. Our projects are designed to build on this foundation to better accommodate human and non-human use. Over time, it is not only the vegetation that grows and changes over the seasons that is visible to the naked eye. The use of the same piece of land may also have some changes.

Each of the four sites chosen to take account of time changes has its own situation to face. Site one needs to consider the issue of sea and river level rise. Site two needs to address the issue of reuse of derelict land. Site three needs to create a space for human activity and interaction. Site four needs to be re-planned to meet the needs of non-human survival.

The first step is to provide sufficient sources of food and water to meet the basic needs of the birds. The second step is to meet human and economic needs through the development of agricultural and tourism activities. The third step is that after the basic subsistence needs are met, structures for birds to rest and to deal with extreme weather can be added.
STRATEGIC DEVELOPMENT PROCESS
Site Features

Because my design target is to balance bird life and human life. Each site has been chosen for its own purpose, partly for birdlife and partly for human activity. The second step is to meet human and economic needs through the development of agricultural and tourism activities. The third step is that after the basic subsistence needs are met, structures for birds to rest and to deal with extreme weather can be added. As well as public spaces to promote communication and interaction between people.

The third area serves mainly human activities. This area is divided into an area for agricultural cultivation and an open public square, where the cultivation of crops not only continues the traditional local industry and provides an economic income for people. The seeds of the crops are also a source of food for the birds that pass through the area. The other part of the site consists of a square with different types of paving. A tower for bird watching has been built on the square to cater for the needs of visitors. The square is also connected to an important local church and provides a space for communication and activities for the local residents.

The fourth area mainly serves bird watching activities. This area is connected to the existing road network and is easily accessible. I have therefore added new paths to this part of the site to allow people to get closer to nature and observe bird life. In the part connected to the main path, the hard surface area was widened to provide a small temporary parking area.
